“Maureen Kornowa comes to us with an extensive 14 year background in the non-profit arena. Ms. Kornowa spent nearly 11 years with North Gwinnett Co-Operative Ministries, two years as a volunteer and subsequent years as their Executive Director. Over the years, under her leadership, the NGC was grown tremendously to include new programs, extensive services to more than 6000 families. It became her mission, with a passion, to assist those families fighting suburban poverty. Her accomplishments created much recognition for the cause and a new opportunity was soon presented with Home of Hope @ Gwinnett Children’s Shelter. Read More Here
With over twenty-five years of experience in areas such as Business Management, Finance, and Real Estate, Mr. Tanksley brings a multitude of knowledge that is used to keep track of the various fiscal policies which accompany the world of non-profit organizations. Mr. Tanksley holds degrees as both a Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, MI. He also has the CPM and HCCP designations and Broker's Licenses in GA, MI, IN and SC. Tony joined Home of Hope and has been a Buford resident for more than 12 years with his wife and 3 daughters.
Ms. Pollard has been with Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter for more than 12 years and brings a wealth of insight and structure to our new program as Director of Operations. Over the years, Ms. Pollard has served in nearly every facet at Home of Hope, driven by her focus on being a strong advocate for at-risk youth. Prior to her service at HOH, Ms. Pollard was employed for eight years at "Chattanooga Room in the Inn"; a non-profit organization that provides shelter to homeless women and women with children. Ms. Pollard holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, which she obtained at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Ms. Pollard has been a resident of Lilburn for 12 years with her two sons.
