Home of Hope named a 2022 Best of Gwinnett winner

The results are in!

For the ninth year in a row, Home of Hope has been named a Best of Gwinnett winner in the Family Services category.

“Being a ‘Best of Gwinnett’ winner for nine years in a row is a very proud moment for Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter,” said CEO Maureen Kornowa. “Making the change we did was not a popular decision in the community at the time, however, it was very necessary.

“To be recognized is a reminder that GOD opened the door for us to listen and walk through. Stay focused on the mission of helping others, and HE will show you the way. It is an honor and privilege to serve our guests, and Home of Hope wishes to hold ourselves to the Gwinnett Standard and be the Best of Gwinnett for many years to come.”

Gwinnett Magazine readers and editors weighed in on the best of everything in Gwinnett, honoring thousands of businesses and organizations in more than 25 business and community sectors.

“It’s everything you love about Gwinnett,” said Publisher David Greer.

Winning started with a nomination on the Best of Gwinnett website. Voting stayed open throughout 2022 with hundreds of thousands votes cast across featured categories. The process culminated in a Feb. 14 results-reveal and the publishing of their annual Best of Gwinnett issue in March.

Best of Gwinnett winners and nominees were carefully curated using a mix of reader votes, editor recommendations, vote pattern analysis and business ranking services.

Winners were named in hundreds of individual categories providing Gwinnett Magazine readers with a go-to guide for the best of everything in Gwinnett. Best of Gwinnett recognizes three levels of winners: The Best, Among the Best and Ones to Watch. Within each category, multiple honorees were named in each tier, depending on the size of the market sector.
