Status report: One month to go until Sip & Swine BBQ Festival 2019

The fourth annual Sip & Swine BBQ Festival will take place from Friday, March 1st to Saturday, March 2nd at Coolray Field. We’re looking forward to Sip & Swine 2019, and we have some exciting news about this year’s BBQ Festival: Rick Hendrick is our Grand Champion Sponsor!

We are so grateful to our friends at Rick Hendrick for graciously agreeing to support the BBQ Festival this year. Proceeds from the event are coming to Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter, so by supporting the event they’re supporting our nonprofit and helping us do what we love best. Sip & Swine allows us to continue our mission of helping homeless mothers and their children in the Gwinnett area. We are truly touched by Rick Henrick’s support and their willingness to be the Grand Champion Sponsor for the event!

Like last year’s Sip & Swine BBQ Festival, the fourth annual Sip & Swine will feature live music, food and craft vendors, and, of course, BBQ! Both professional and amateur teams will participate in a Kansas City Barbeque Society-certified BBQ competition in their respective categories. We will have the People’s Choice BBQ Tasting on Saturday, March 2nd where attendees purchase a “Taster Kit” (which is a plate of barbeque samples) so they can choose their favorite barbeque of the competition teams. And the People’s Choice BBQ Tasting will be intense because we’re expecting our largest crowds yet this year – which we couldn’t be more excited about! The festival will be a great time, and we’re so excited to meet everyone who comes out to attend the festival.

We are so thankful for everyone in our community who has come out to the event in the past – and we’re thankful to everyone who will come out this year. Having the support of our community really means a lot to us. Our mission is to help mothers and their children by giving Mom the support she needs and helping her create a customized life plan to start on the path to independence. We also provide a nurturing home for these families to give them a safe place to stay while they get back on their feet. Everyone who comes out to Sip & Swine, volunteers at the event, and sponsors the event – and those who support the Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter at other times of the year – helps us fulfill this mission.

So, again we’d like to extend a big thank you to Rick Hendrick for becoming the Grand Champion Sponsor of Sip & Swine 2019. We’re so glad to have this new friendship and relationship in our community. And of course, there’s always room for more friends and more supporters! We always welcome sponsors, so if your business is interested in supporting our cause by becoming a sponsor we would be absolutely thrilled to have you. (You can find out more about sponsorships here – there are different levels of sponsorship available, so you can choose the amount of support that’s right for your business.)

We hope to see you at Sip & Swine BBQ Festival 2019 on March 1st-2nd!
